About the Artist

Jenny McMillen (me) is a Toronto-based freelance illustrator.  Proud owner of a Bachelor Degree of Design in Illustration from The Ontario College of Art and Design (now called OCADU). Since then I've been pursuing for professional excellence in the design field.

I enjoy creating beautiful and simplistic works, commonly for publishing works like comics, graphic novels and children's books.  Including works for editorials, storyboarding and concepts for game and character design.  My favourite and more successful subjects are nature, wildlife, cooking, fantasy and science fiction.  Much of my inspiration is drawn from these, as well as animation and story books from different cultures.  I work regularly with traditional materials like watercolours and pencil crayons while also working with Photoshop CS and Illustrator CS.
